Blazers are obviously great for jazzing up an outfit or making an outfit a little less casual. 1. FIT

This is always the most important factor when buying a blazer. It must fit shoulder and arm length appropriately to give a timelessly professional, put together look. (Unless, perhaps there is a fashion statement being made where the blazer must be oversized or possibly under-sized.)

2. COLOR

One of the first questions you must ask yourself before purchasing a blazer is how you want it to be used within your wardrobe. Is this a staple piece that I need to buy it in black or navy so that I can wear it with everything? Or is this a piece that I want to transform my outfits from time to time? If so, then get the bold color and wear it when you want to stand out or when you want to take an outfit from a 5 to a 10.

3. QUALITY

Blazers are meant to last a long time in our wardrobes. Therefore it is important to invest in a blazer made of good materials. Read the labels for fabric type, and wash care. Along with the price and brand of course, these things will give you an idea of the quality of the blazer. Also pay attention to construction and lining as these become worn easily with time if you wear the blazer often.
