T H E F O X – Flynn Skye

long sleeve dress-long beach-natural hair

Creating a foxy look from the 1970’s isn’t as easy as you would think. Not only did I have to tap into an era that didn’t include my existence, but for the first time in a LONG time, I asked my mother to help me get dressed! It was only fitting since she was in her 20’s during that era.

Together, we googled fashion from the 70’s that she could remember relevant, and matched those old school looks to a few different pieces from Gold Dust Boutique , this being the Elle Mini by Flynn Skye dress. (This is one of three looks from this throwback 1970’s series. Pairing tan wedges, which were and still are popular today, this California fall look came together. Not to mention the must needed fro action! (Hair products used are listed below.)

Although it is true that fashion tends to repeat itself, each time that it is revived, (especially 1970’s style) it should be executed with a modern twist!

When it comes to fashion and style, the 1970’s, as many of us would agree, were unique and bold. Fashion forward individuals were willing to try some of the most flamboyant of outfits just to be flyy.

The willingness to take fashion risks is something that I absolutely admire about that culture. Something that I intend to emulate throughout my fashion career.
