“YES! I remember you! You were the one I interviewed in the lobby! I’m so glad you are here, I need to your help on a photo shoot. (Slaps me a two high fives) Follow me.” Within the first 60 seconds of being in the Marketing/Creative services department of BCBG these were the words that came from my supervisor’s mouth. I was immediately put to work, steaming garments, clipping tags and strings, helping decide which necklace for which outfit, and taking pictures of the entire process.
Can anyone say, “PERFECT INTERNSHIP”??? Although these simple tasks may sound awfully basic to others, to me, this is the stepping stone to exactly where I want to be. Just being surrounded by clothes, magazines, art, and intelligent yet very fashionable people is satisfying enough. Let’s not even mention the excitement that went through my entire body when I found out that the photo shoot was for an extra special Top Model… 😉
Overall, I am very excited to be working with BCBG MaxRave, and I am absolutely can’t wait for more projects, assignments and tasks that will be given to me. I am overjoyed to have this opportunity to learn and network. Now only time will tell what the future holds. I’ll be keeping you all informed… 🙂
